You are an adult.
Do NOT leave this as long as I did....

You should probably start acting like one too.
Stand your ground. just Be you.
But stand firm.

You're body. Your choice

[it's good advice]

Welp, an hour ago today in a conversation, my paranoid Dad told me he wants to see the vaccine card IF I take it, and he said he would call the pharmacy after examining the card to ask them IF I was there. So I stood my ground and said I'm not taking it, and then we got into another heated argument.

But surprisingly, he later had a change of heart after the argument and came to his senses, and told me not to worry and that I have the right to not take it. And he said "We'll pray for us" and that he wants to keep the peace in the household.

Still though, I don't wanna be burden on my parents and I feel more eager now than ever before to get out and make something of my life after seeing how crazy my Dad can be under too much pressure.

You have some narcissitic passive agressive parents - "we'll pray for us."

On the other hand you need to fly the coop kid.

Yes. Everyone on my Dad's side of the family are actually narcissists. I have a red-pilled Uncle who's against the vaxx and my Dad fought with him and broke ties with him. They'll always be on bad terms with eachother. Also, I have an Aunt who refuses to give my family some of her inheritance money after she dies because my Dad pissed her off too many times. My Dad has ruined a lot of relationships with other family members ever since the start of the pandemic.

Furthermore, I tried explaining to my parents that it sounds weird to be living with them at 25, but they said that other people have no right to judge, they don't know us. He would say something along those lines if he read & replied to some of these comments. He believes there should be no rush to fly the coop. Also, I have Indian neighbors who lived with their parents till their 30's. It's normal in some cultures to be close to your parents and some people even raise their own kids with them.
