It was hot as blazes on that soundstage but Patrick was used to doing those special jobs for the government, was good at it and kept his mouth shut. He did the final walk around on the sound stage the day before the shoot so as to make sure that his shots would NOT accidentally include any of the "earthly" gear there, the lights hanging from the ceiling, the emergency fire exit to the left, the cables strung across the floor, the seats off to the side for the government observers. He did such a great job that no matter how closely you examine the footage he shot you can NOT SEE a single thing that indicates that the scene was filmed on a sound stage in Hollywood. A true perfectionist when it came to using his camera as the piece in a magic show. Smith died about a decade after his most famous cinematography was shot ... but never got the recognition he deserved for how brilliant he was in his craft of creating Fake Movies for the government. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 81764751 Ireland 01/06/2022 09:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | lol On topic, even though i believe man went to the moon, i agree op, who filmed it? I think although they went(it was before i was born, so i never saw it), i think, there is a case, that many of the video was filmed on earth, and then broadcast as if it was live. I agree op, who filmed it? If he was first man on moon, who filmed him walking of the module onto the surface? So i agree op. But like i said, i think they did go. But if i was alive back then, i would of asked like many you here, who is filming him making that first step? I think although they went, its very likely many of the video that was broadcast was filmed beforehand, and broadcast. So, although i think they did go(i believe they used better tech than they told you people), i agree, there is weird things about it, that is not logical, or do not add up. Who filmed neil first walking on moon, was one question i would of wanted to know. But probably very few asked any questions when it happened, as people were so fixated on beating soviets in space race, they just accepted it at face value. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81774202 So, whoever took that movie segment had to be already standing on the Moon's surface before Neil Armstrong stepped down from the Lander. That person would have been the first Human to be on the Moon, not Armstrong. Who was it? Stanley Kubrick's cameraman? Answer with facts, not with your desperate imagination. aSZtroll-hound. |

Taken by a prepositioned camera on the MESA which was lowered via lanyard by Armstrong before he started down the ladder. Same camera remotely used during the EVAs with the rover. Controlled by the same guy on Apollo 15, 16, and 17.
