I hope not. They recently announced they are building a new store in my community. I would hate not to have that competition. Ingles and Walmart have the area sewed up. Ingles is way over-priced; Walmart is....well Walmart.

The food in every store is crap. At least at Aldi I didn't have to pay as much for that crap.

Well this sucks. Is there anywhere other than Aldi to get affordable food? Now I have to get all our groceries at HyVee and that's going to cost a lot more. I have a family to feed dammit!

I think that, too. I spend most of my grocery money on my pets and stuff like cleaners, mouthwash, shampoo, paper towels, and even then rarely do I get over $120. My own food tends to be fruits/veggies, dairy, coffee, and lean meat. I hardly ever eat processed foods or grains. Seriously, I spend more to feed my 3 pets than myself! Well, if I don't count in the $80 I spend monthly on 4 $20 bottles of wine from the liquor store - one per week - which as often as not are served to guests. But, when I see the prices, and when I get behind people with families, I cringe. The clerk tells them, $262.17 and I think, "Wow, they have to do that every week?"

We have Never been PROTECTED in our food supply as is suppose to be done. Back in the 1960's worked in a "prepared Salads
and produce firm". While working there part time after school
was clued in that if a 'BUZZER in the processing Area went off
all these workers would STOP EVERYTHING and CLEAN-UP all the FILTH Areas and Violation AREAS.

The BUZZER came via front office where a secretary would receive " CODED Message " from the Health Dept. Alerting Them they had 30-40 minutes before "INSPECTION TEAM" Arrived......

One thing I like about Mexico is no matter how barren the big box store shelves get, the street markets are always booming since everyone actually produces stuff here.
