I think you may be missing the sin here - each one who took it valued their own livelihood over the survival of the human race - because everyone knows they are trying to force it on the entire human race and each person who takes it makes it that much more likely that it will be forced on the remainders. Its high treason against all who came before, all who live today and all who would come after - you sold out the race to protect yourself
