This kind of genital mutilation/cutting is done by women on women. It is a cultural rite of passage.

Who is to say that one group's (Feminist Peace Network) version of women's rights is more 'correct' than another (cultural) group's version?

I would have liked to discuss this matter with the Feminist Peace Network, but "...At the present time, the group is open to women only." (quoted from their discussion site) - so I can't (I'm a male).

Again, it is a cultural issue, and not a political one.
