I'm in a similar situation. I rose in the ranks one level every year, faster than anyone else. I volunteered on the Christmas committee. I was recognized as an upcoming female star.

Yet HR still treated me like a number. They don't give a shirt about you or me. The quicker you learn the easier it will be.

I'm now on leave without pay until I don't know when.
