Lots of blood loss. kills rapidly. so fast it does not spread much. this is classic Marburg - who knows if tweaked. so named because a shipment of monkeys to a lab at the University of Marburg brought the infection to Germany. many people who had contact with the animals died. The wife of a vet died, but not too many people who did not have direct contact with the monkeys. in other words, not much human to human spread. It did leave shockwaves in Germany for many years after. Did not alter how hospitals handled exotic infections in patients... ask how I know. Was a student nurse in the infectious disease building of one of Germany's largest hospitals. this was before latex gloves etc - you learned to handle waste with tongs and great care. How come a mask can protect you from sars/cov2, but when dealing with Ebola, Denge or Marburg, they wear negative pressure suits with their own air supply. I know the hemoragic viruses are more deadly, but a virus is a virus, as far as protection goes. I think the point here,is that the reason people who followed all the insane redtrictions to the letter, even masking at home, still got covid19, because it's a virus and all this nonsense of masks, distance and lockdowns, were all to make you feel safer, while not doing shite and they knew that. <rant off> |
