Major Airlines Forced To Fly Empty ‘Ghost Flights’ to Keep Departure and Landing Times at Major Airports.
Thousands of planes from some of Europe’s biggest airlines have been forced to fly empty planes in order to keep their prized departure and landing times at major airports.

Europe’s second biggest carrier, Lufthansa reports it had to operate 18,000 ‘ghost flights’ over the winter.

Every day, thousands of empty planes are flying around the world, as flight radars show.

My guess is they're not actually empty.

It's probably how the government in cahoots with immigration groups are flying "refugees " around the world. The taxpayers are probably paying the airlines for the service and keeping the airlines subsidized and operating.

Probably drugs in the cargo hold too.

Bullshit.

they are moving alot of stuff around. what or who it is remains to be seen.

airlines & airports have contracts.
those contracts have stipulations.

no way in fucking hell that an airliner flew 18000 flights with EMPTY vessels just to maintain their determined slots.

they would of been bankrupt 10000 times already.

may the good lord rid all people who have been contaminated by the seed of evil.

Airlines pay millions for landing spots at major airports. if they don't use them then its sold to other airlines. Basically use it or loose it.

Almost a year ago, end of Feb, my son flew from Newark or JFK, I forget which at this point, to Thailand, where he is an English and History teacher. The flight went to Japan and then another to Bangkok.

The plane from the USA was one of those huge ones that hold 700 or 800 people and he was one of four- 4- yes only 4- passengers.

It was pretty much the same from Japan.

He heard the same thing- the routes are contracted with the government, not with the airports. And they only way to keep a popular route you don't want to lose is to keep flying the planes.

This is nothing new.

Flights carry cargo and generate revenue that way.

Plane has to fly a schedule in order for it to be able to pickup passengers and cargo it’s destination.

it depends on total number of class tiers

1-2 class tiers means many more passengers

yes up to the 800+

3-4 class tiers cuts that by hundreds

Lift the travel and jab bans, and like magic, flights will fill up again.

Cargo is where their profit is.

They just take passengers as like a bonus, more hassle than what it is worth RT>
