Why is an apparent faction of our illegitimate globalist government seeking a conflict with a blameless nation that never threatened us even once?

Or the hard-left forces of even today's post-Mao China still very much are. Liberals (and Romney/McCain/McConnell RINOs or squishes too) have fucked up so much of the US, they've turned America into a shell of its former self.
