Hubby had to get out and chase him down. His boss was immediately called by his passenger. They come out, the two owners, her husband, the three goons all driving to the site quickly to give us insurance information, business cards and sweet talk us into a cash settlement. Had to be five witnesses, none stopped, but we called their insurance and filed. They come back four days later to tell us there is no proof anything happened as we say. I took 17 pictures with our rear reflected stuck in their truck rivets to prove they hit us while we sat still at light. They owners deny anything. Cops wouldn’t come out for fender bender in a parking lot. Their insurance company said sorry, no proof, even after photos sent. Told my hubby things happen for a reason. The reason here was NEVER TRUST ANYONE ! Called USAA, they will handle it for us. Already got a check for the claim. But the bullshit today is so high with everyone we learned a lesson. No one is on your side but yourself. as Scott R of the Delaware State police said ages ago: any accident you can walk away from is a good accident. So glad you are both okay. Louis in Richmond I have heard the deafening silence. User ID: 77100450 United States 01/14/2022 08:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'll quote Happy in Nature's first sentence. "I am stressed, physically exhausted, and tired..." Quoting: Louis in Richmond We have moved to our new home, everything is in boxes, I need a new bed, and we are both too tired and sore to cook or unpack everything. Maybe Saturday or Sunday. 'Always wonderful to read you here Beeches. Congratulations on your new home!!!! Thank you--We like it quite much! Yay! Pizza night! Seriously, moving is a bitch. You will never unpack some boxes of random shit. Louis, you and Mrs Louis are too old to be moving. What is the story here? Two things: it started as a bank battle five years ago with me writing and filing my own complaints in Eastern District US Court after an uninsured driver crippled me and the bank would not allow me two months to catch up on my mortgage. No problem, I kept them in court for five years. But now we are getting older and our former home was about 4,500 square feet, two story, with a detached garage and separate storage building--it was too much for us. So I stopped the lawsuits, Mrs. found a single-story home very remote out in farmland with eight times as much land, and we moved here. We don't have an upstairs I cannot get to and the home is much better-sized for us. In other words we will be much happier now. I won't need to continue to be a self-taught lawyer, I did great btw--the Federal Complaints I filed that took judges eight to ten months to answer for five years cost the bank over $125,000 not counting their lawyer fees. It cost me less than $10,000 to hamstring the bank for five years. My credit score went up sixty-three points and my credit card limits were tripled when I signed the contracts for the new place and they ran my finances and approved me for here. I'm pretty sure my bank now hates me; I have moved my accounts to Capital One because the way I pay my bills I have essentially no credit card debt and pay everything weeks in advance so I pay no interest either. Anonymous Coward User ID: 81753972 United States 01/14/2022 09:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My usual answer when asked that question is, "I'm feeling more amazing by the moment. How are YOU doin'?" It couldn't be more true tonight because the proof copy of my latest book arrived late this afternoon: "Is There a Question That Heals Instantly?" The question, in case you're curious is "Why do I love discovering what's between me and loving kindness?" The book describes how you can Get over" your life's biggest traumas without ever having to revisit them! It does this by neutralizing our little upsets instantly. It just so happens that our reactions to tiny problems are typically the same as our reactions to big ones, only milder. As the mild habits get washed away, the big locked-in thoughts and emotions also start clearing. |

Nice way to end a stressful week before snowmageddon hits tomorrow evening. We did not discuss politics and world events just had fun gossiping and catching up. We all decided we need to do it more often. So, for this evening, in a pretty good place mentally. Thanks for asking! I hope you are doing well!! |

Sometimes it is best not to fret, or feel. Still loving that orangutan driving a golf cart vid someone posted yesterday. the vid got changed out due to a copyright thing... but I found the vid on Vimeo again. soothing music don't see a vimeo tab to get the vid back... but it is on Vimeo, and it is the orangutan driving a golf cart like on Miami Vice.... the music, as much as the video, is soothing. Ha! Is this it? Thanks for that. Awesome!! Justme |
