No milk in our stores in Richmond, VA

Everyone has been saying lately that milk and benadryl cure covid. Now all of a sudden milk supplies are being dumped out and its getting harder and harder to find it at stores.
Just sayin.

We’ve had more people out for this stuff in the last month than we have had in all of covid combined. 40% of the staff at one point.

Yeah, it's the same at a lot of our suppliers - they say they've never seen it this bad.

They're calling for snow/ice mix for Sunday, I believe. That'll bone deliveries even more.

Both DOLLAR GENERAL and $TREE also carry fresh eggs.

Canned cat food has been scarce since last year, which makes me wonder what they're using all those meat by-products for! I have noticed that in the past few weeks new cans of 9-Lives cat food have been showing up but in smaller cans: they are now only 13 oz. instead of the old 15oz. and still a buck each.

This can expire prematurely if its stored in heat or improperly.

I had some of these that were 2 months before the best by date stamped and I opened em and they were foul/stenchy.

Sorry, I just don't believe that. According to their website, the Gossner milk is pasteurized at over 280dg. so there's no reason it would go bad sitting on a warm shelf unless you live in blast furnace. And those cartons have an internal seal that remains intact unless you twist the cap nearly all the way off. I've been using it regularly now for three years and never had a bad carton yet and my pantry is usually between 70-75 degrees year round!

Remember this: nobody knows more about long-term storage and prepping than the Mormons!

Yes it is, stores here have to keep their stocks of baby food locked up because those that will not work, steal it if it is accessible to them.

There was one bag of kitteh kibble and one box of cans between the two stores Mrs. stopped to buy kitteh food at.

We may be needing to hunt in those woods surrounding our new home, [pic below in sig].

The ability for adults in some populations to digest animal milk was a useful adaptation to add caloric options to the diet.

I don't know man. Cheese, yogurt, kefir, butter, ice cream are tasty in moderation. Cheese wheels last forever if made and stored properly.

You could always try fermented mare's milk or goat milk if cow milk isn't your thing.

That said I respect someone elses decision not to consume milk. You have to look at quality and the sugar and fat content mean adults should maybe consume in moderation. Vegan substitutes don't do it for me but you and I are free to make our own choices.

I'm terrified about the formula situation. I would rather starve than let my grandbaby go the slightest bit hungry. There has to be millions of babies in this situation too. Many of them don't have grandmas to help. Even I can only help so much. Spending almost $70 for ONE can of formula is unsustainable. It's unreal. I'm so sick over this. Close to panicking and I am NOT a panicker.
