Major blizzard slamming Greater Toronto Area, with up to 60 cm of snow expected

Will anybody even notice?

Canadians are NOT allowed to go most places as it is, so will anyone even notice that they have gotten more snow than they get in just a Ho Hum winter storm?

Canadians are already mostly staying home, at least they are allowed to go to the grocery stores bu that seems to be about it, so I guess it is just going to be an extended week of Hockey Night In Canada for most Canadians.

Streetcars on King St. downtown totally stranded. You don't see that every day.
I've seen them stop working because it was -30 and the tracks had a hard time changing back if one of the streetcars diverted.
But I've never seen them lined up like that.

I remember back in the old days (before all of this deadly glow-ball warming) it worked wonders. You could actually get in your car and go places, even in winter!

First big storm of the season is always a giant Clusterfrack, be it Toronto, Chicago, Detroit, or anywhere else. A large percentage of people are stupid, and need a severe object lesson to realize it.

I did 2 years at Pearson Airport. That place is a lot of “Fun” in weather like this. The videos bring back some cold memories….

Toronto is always a lil bitch about snow, I’ve got maybe 1.5ft here and it’s not too bad. I’ll take the snow over the cold, was bad enough the pipes in the basement of my building froze on Friday and didn’t melt until mid Sunday.

The east coast just had two storms back to back of 30 plus .... come on now.. I thought all Canadians could handle the storms.. Did you make sure to get your storm chips and pops :)

I was shoveling three feet of snow in some places because of snow drifts. The end of my drive way has three feet of snow. I don't know how I am going to shove that shit. I am only a scrawny female.

I live in what they call the snow belt in S. Ont. About halfways between Toronto and Detroit and roughly halfway between L.Erie north shore and L.Huron's east. Lots of lake effect snow from both directions. But we only got 10-15cm,maybe 6 in.I guess. I'm 67 and I always shovel my own drive and walks as well as a few older or weaker neighbours. This was a normal winter day here. Toronto needs to take snow control lessons from Montreal.

Back when people still had a tad of sense they would send out snow plows ahead of the EMS vehicles.

But that is just too complicated for your affirmative action employees these days.

It has gotten so bad they have had to cancel their vax clinics.

I used to plow snow, in weather like this I would go 3 days without more than 3 hours of sleep a day; coming over hills in whiteout winds and hitting over 6 foot drifts at 40mph.. often the power lines being the only way to keep your bearing.

I had fun but it's not for everyone.

During the ice storm some years back I remember working just over 100 hours in 5 days, which was not as fun but at least I didn't break/crash into anything that week..

We just shoveled about 2 ft of heavy snow off our driveway.It took bf and I all day.I know I'll be glued to this recliner for the next couple days.I doubt I will be able to stand up tommorow,lol.
