Use the homer buckets with an improvised 2x4 box and toilet seat and lid. Make the buckets fit under it and then dry compost in a hole. Works good.

Somethings I see overlooked often:

A small solar system. You can get a portable foldable panel, a decent sized LiFePO4 battery, and a small pure sine wave interter (1000 watt), for about $500 bucks all in.

This can be used to run a cpap machine, keep a chest freezer running to store meat, small fridge to keep insulin cold,, charge radios, battery packs, phones, small lighting etc.

It being portable also means you can bring it camping etc. So has some recreational uses.

Bleach (for water purification and sanitation).

Antibiotics for your fish.
