I remember back in the late '70s or maybe it was the early eighties my neighbor had a 63 Dodge dart 330 with a 440 six pack, four-speed, and Dana 60 rear end. I think he was about the fastest car in town for a long time. I remember one night where we raced a four-speed 454 Corvette Stingray and we smoked it.


That 63 Dart didn't look anywhere near as clean as the 65 in the video.

In high school 1966 or when ever that was my neighbor had a Yellow D Dart, little 273, single plane, solids, factory headers, and I thought that was the coolest car in town. He sold that and bought a 375/396 Chevelle. He launched from a roll smoking 'em, power shifted left 30' both wheels in second. I couldn't believe that much metal could go that fast, not compared to mt 63 326 LeMans anyway. He lifted the hood I saw 427 rocker covers. I didn't know that could be factory ordered but it al least explained the enormous power. He ran 13.20 on Caslers at Lions.

I have an old Mopar as well. Different style but I do love Mopar gold.

Mine has a 318 block bored and stroked to 392, forged internals, aluminum heads and fuel injected.

Was running 9-ohs when this was filmed in 2015 but he has in the mid 8's last I heard. 440 wedge single 4bbl on gas and nitrous.

Loved the video. My first car was a 63 Dodge Dart that had a 225 slant six that was my fathers car. He threw a rod in it.
I bought a 60 Dodge Pioneer from a junkyard fir 20 bucks and pulled the engine and put it in the Dart.
My second car was a 63 Chevy Biscayne, so seeing those two line up gave me a big smile.

An OT question, OP.

Grandson, quite by accident, got a supply of cam shafts, pistons, bearings, and more from an older neighbor who was a mechanic locally for an Indy racer. Some of the parts are still in the original boxes, which are literally falling apart with age. Is there a site to advertise the parts for sale? We know some dirt track racers but they said they don't use any of these parts. Some are NASCAR brand parts, I understand.

As you can tell, I'm pretty ignorant on this topic. But would love to help grandson get them sold.

My brother had a 69 dart with a bored out 340, carter 4 barrel.800 HP. he used to pull wheelies in front of our house.
Good times!
