Do you speak a second language? I'm pretty darn close to fluent in English, but my native language is Swedish. When you're getting emotional, your native language shines through. The first language you learn sits deeper in the brain. I may speak English, but if I stub my toe I'll curse in Swedish. This woman is clearly having an emotional moment, and so her English deteriorates. It's normal. I think it's a bit silly to rush out in the street and give a stranger money, but as I said, she is having an emotional moment. Which is congruent with being afraid her new country will turn into her old, and seeing this stranger as her only hope and defender. I listened to it again. If you really believe that, I think you are extremely gullible and naïve and easily persuaded by emotional appeals. |

Not everyone would go to the trouble of typing an "ï" where one is called for. You're a man of culture. We can say ottawa is currently possibly one of the most relevant and the largest political and intelligence stages in the world right now. And we have truckers allowing random people rush up to their vehicles and jump on the door? I don't know what peoples general attitudes are, but if they aren't aware of the realities surrounding the situation, then make the mistake of thinking you're at a social gathering, but there are clearly 'entities' who don't see it that similar way. There's tons of Chinese immigrants in Vancouver and that is what they sound like. In China, the elite send their children to English immersion nursery schools so that their kids will be able to speak English without an accent. That's what it takes. |
