Visalia, CA hospital's emergency room overflows

Feb. 14--Kaweah Delta Hospital in Visalia has seen a recent surge of patients at its emergency room, officials said Wednesday.

A 35-foot tent was erected outside the hospital about noon Wednesday to treat nonemergency patients seeking care at the emergency room.

The hospital's emergency department, which usually treats about 190 patients per day, has been averaging between 240 and 250.

Most patients are coming to the emergency room seeking treatment for flu symptoms, said Dan Allain, director of Emergency and Critical Care.

The tent can serve about six patients at a time, Allain said. It will stay open at least until Monday when hospital officials will re-evaluate the situation.

A second tent can also be erected outside the emergency room if there is an even greater surge of patients, Allain said.

The risk far outweighs any benefit as the risk will vary from child to child.

I feel sorry for you guys.A mere bulb of garlic a day, and you wouldn't have that problem.
All my friends want to bitch and say "eww, garlic", while they line up for their mercury injections.
I just want you all to know that regardless of how you want me to feel about eating garlic, here's how I feel about you NOT eating garlic:
"Ewww...I don't eat garlic= Eww...I don't use toilet paper=Ewww...I don't brush my teeth."
Play it backwards all you want, if you don't eat garlic, you have poor hygeine, and no reason to expect my sympathy when you lack of cleanliness makes you sick.
But I do feel sorry for you, anyway.
Even though I haven't had the flu for years and years and years.

I'm starting to wonder if it isn't the flu ... it's so widespread and it seems everyone has it ... I think it might be some kind of immunization for biological terror that the government slipped into the water or chemtrails maybe .

Think of all the people who eat junk foods and soda pop on a regular basis, they are the ones who catch the flu.

This is mostly true, but I am a Pepsi drinker and do like fast food. Don't exercises as much as I should, but I rarely am sick.

I do get decent amount of sleep, lots of fluids, and if I do feel anything coming on, I baby myself for the evening and it's gone the next day. Big believer in chicken noodle soup, orange juice and hot tea. I also believe in keeping house very cool in the winter time. If I ever feel chilly, I will kick up the heat, but mostly I keep my house as other people would probably classify as "cold".

People, you need to listen to your bodies. Don't let yourself get run down, and don't let your job stress you out. Stress will make you sick too.

Be careful out there.

I live 45 minutes from Visalia, nothing ominous going on there, just a flu bug, and maybe a few extra gangbangers shooting each other.

I drink soda all the time, eat like shit, sleep about 4 hours a night, do very little exercise.

However, I'm 6', 200, solid muscle, 6% bodyfat, and NEVER GET SICK.

Superior Western European genetics here folks.

I've also NEVER taken antibiotics--my immune system is rock fucking solid!

It's good to be king!
