Crater opens up outside Jerusalem's Dome of the Rock in 5.3 magnitude earthquake last Friday- Next big quake may destroy Dome!

The photo of the crater on this website doesn't look like it was caused by an earthquake.

It looks like there's water and dampness in it and there's no sign of any dust or rubble that has fallen into it.

It looks like it's been there prior to the quake and they covered it with paving stones.

When the earthquake happened, the paving stones must have been moved away exposing the existing crater.

Every Christian and Jew knows that the Israelis are God's Chosen People.

They received the blessing from their father Abraham (Ibrahim). That blessing was sanctified when Abraham took Isaac up on top of the mountain to sacrifice him to God as his only son, just as Jesus was sacrificed as God's only son two thousand years later.

Jesus was the creator of Heaven and Earth and as God's only son was the perfect redeemer. The followers of the Moon Dog have no such salvation.

If anyone has a background in geology, could they take a look at the two pictures of the crater that have been posted at this blog.

The crater doesn't look like it came from an earthquake at all. It's being described as a sinkhole, and that's what it looks like. It also looks like there's water there and mud.

There are ancient water channels that collected surface water on the Temple Mount leading down to the temple itself in the southern area are now 30 to 40 feet below the ground level of the mount today.

Archeologists reported in 2002 that one of the walls ( I think it was near the western wall) was bulging and in danger of collapsing.

It's very odd that these close-up pictures of the crater don't appear in the original news stories.

If that crater has pre-existing water in it, I think it's very significant, when it comes to the structural instability of the Temple Mount and I think there was some biblical prophecy that had to do with water coming from the Mount. Maybe someone can clarify this.

Your way off with no historical data to back up your claim.

The fact is the Byzantines built a church over the Praetorium (The Rock of the Dome of the Rock) known as the Church of St.Cyrus and St.John.This church was enlarged in later times (certainly by the time of Justinian) to be called The Church of the Holy Wisdom (Saint Sophia).

In the sixth century, during the time of Justinian, the Piacenza Pilgrim visited Jerusalem. He identified this Church of the Holy Wisdom with precision. He said it was at the site of the former Praetorium of Pilate. He also mentioned a significant architectural feature over which that Church had been built. It was an "oblong rock" on which the people (in the sixth century) believed that they could see the footprints of Jesus as indentions in the rock. That Church was built specifically and exclusively to be situated directly over that important "Rock."


The Temple actually sat south of this "rock" the Muslims built upon these former chuches and the error of the "rock" being the site of the Temple contuines til this day. As evident that the Jews are praying at a retaining wall of a Roman fort

Exactly, I guess you did not digest any of my post, this church was built over the Roman Praetorium NOT the Temple, unless you can give any historical data to the contrary. The Romans also forbid any Jews to enter Jerusalem after AD 70 So whats your point? Hate? If your a Christian you need to read Romans chap 11
