The difficulty in understanding the Russian is that we do not take cognizance of the fact that he is not a European, but an Asiatic, and therefore thinks deviously. We promised the Europeans freedom. It would be worse than dishonorable not to see that they have it. This might mean war with the Russians, but what of it? You know that Patton wasn't a great general, right? He was a publicized propaganda item. He fought second rate versions of the German units, the cooks and mechanics of the panzer divisions.

After WWII, he was disgusted with what he saw and made numerous comments as well as sent messages back home about future plans about what he would immediately do in America upon his return. He was going to say we backed the wrong side. And was going to spill the beans about the truth of what occurred in Germany.

While on a hunting trip and traveling by car in Belgium, he was shot in the neck by a sniper as well as had his car struck by a truck. But he did not die. An ambulance came and attempted to take him to the hospital but that was hit by an even bigger truck. He still did not die. Another ambulance came and took him to the hospital where they finished him off with a hot dose injection.
