The raw power of the bear symbolizes courage and bravery.

They are the most beautiful of all creatures, the mothers tender with their babies and the males full of strength.

To see them in nature is such a blessing.

Anyone notice that the truck was moving. It started on the bridge and by the last shot the front wheels were off......I have to say that must have been one pissed bear...

According to the links on Google, the most aggressive bear is a toss up between the grizzly, the polar bear, and the kodiak (a sub-species of grizzly). Sites can be found supporting all three.

I wonder which would come out on top in a cage match? :)

Look at the sequence again, there is someone in the truck and also a car parked up ahead. I don't see the door opening and the passenger getting out to help. I bet he did finally though. Also, someone was in a vehicle behind them taking the photos.
I live in bear country and they wander around my area by the stream, fishing, eating berries in season and I've seen them downing deer. We've only seen one Griz by my place, mostly Black bears around. They are out of sorts when they awake from hibernation and also when they are preparing to hibernate. Their stomachs are making the decisions at that time, not their brains. They come within 20 yards of me but have been respectful of my space, as I am of theirs. I don't even pick any of the berries at the edge of my yard since that is theirs to enjoy. I do keep my distance.
