Barak Obama - 44th President of the United States
I didn't say I was happy about it, but I've done some research and if you think about it, you'll see the same picture I do.

[link to www.cnn.com]

Before I go forward, I just want it to be known I'm a Paul lover, always will be. However, here are the facts.

1. Obama is now winning more votes and delegates than Clinton. At this point, only sabotage or evil could stop Obama from winning the nomination. Many people have good thoughts about him. It's only a few that make him look bad whether it's due to his race or upbrining.

2. McCain is a setup as it is. No one really enjoys his speech or his appearance. Many true republicans are not voting for him.

3. It has been reported (I heard on NPR) that many conservative republicans voted for Obama and not McCain in Wisconsin. Whether they did this to help Obama or due to their thoughts that McCain already had it wrapped up, I don't know.

4. It will most likely (unfortunatly) be McCain vs. Obama. McCain will use Clintons card about experience and Obama will use his card about change. Yada-Yada.

5. HERE IS THE MOST IMPORANT POINT. Look at the VOLUME of votes in the primary contests. The VOLUME will be what wins the General Election. VOLUME-VOLUME-VOLUME.

- More than 1 MILLION votes were cast for the democratic primary.

- Barely 400 THOUSAND votes were cast for the republican primary.

VOLUME. If the same people turn out for the general election, the democratic nominee (which is likely Obama) will win easily. Just keeping the numbers as they are, Obama would win 60% of the general election in WI. You must also take into account those who don't like McCain and who would rather vote for Obama.

The sheer VOLUME of votes being cast is the key. 2008 is a democratic dream for Obama.

Re: Barak Obama - 44th President of the United States
What a setup President Barak Obama, and Vice President Hillary Clinton.

If you want to put a police state on top of a police state, if you want Hillary and her compulsory pharmaceutical corporation giveaway health program to get implemented with tremendous "sympathy," what do you wish for under your breath if not out loud? Don't forget the new higher powered tazers, who needs mobile execution vans like they have in China? Are you a fan of political correctness gone wild?

Oh maybe even a year or two goes by, what the heck. He attains more messianic popularity, and gets a few band aids applied to the country at great expense. Greater expense happens with even more superficial "change."

A Noble Prize winner has already told you what might happen.

Then it's President Hillary. What a superb and profitable dystopia it is for the Rockefellers and the Rothschilds. They have been wishing for this for decades if not centuries. You are a slave with 100 per cent taxation, and in debt past your eyeballs in a sea of sewage. Don't worry they will give you antibiotics and vaccines like a farm animal.

Then you will look back on Bush 43 like he was Abraham Lincoln and the savior rolled into one. But it will be too late to vote for an actual Republican, your assets have been seized.
"With an eye made quiet by the power of harmony and the deep power of joy, we see into the life of things." William Wordsworth

And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe—the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God.

John F. Kennedy Inaugural Address

Lincoln's economic advisor Henry C. Carey explained the universal issue in his 1851 Harmony of Interests:

"Two systems are before the world.... One looks to pauperism, ignorance, depopulation, and barbarism; the other to increasing wealth, comfort, intelligence, combination of action, and civilization. One looks towards universal war; the other towards universal peace. One is the English system; the other ... the American system, for ... elevating while equalizing the condition of man throughout the world."

"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." - Albert Einstein

You are correct. There are many stories out there that speak about our entitlement programs failing. Right now we are in such a bind that there really is no way out. There are less taxpayers making less income to pay for more retired workers demanding cost adjustments for their living expenses.

The end result is the same to see. Tax the young workers even more, who will then have less purchasing power to consume other products. This in turn will decrease demand for workers of those products who will the not have any income to spend elsewhere. The economy will retract simliar to a reversed big bang theory.

Or cut entitlement programs and have countless people homeless, begging for help, and in some cases committing criminal acts to support themselves.

During all of this our dollar is collapsing and our prices inflating. The main reason for higher oil prices is due to inflation. They'll have you believe it is due to higher costs for the oil barrels, but that is due to inflationary pressures.

Our life line (the dollar) is on walking on a tightrope and the strands of the rope are snapping slowly. There are only a few strands left holding us up.

OP, please. Ron Paul is for reducing the size of Fed Gov to its absolute minimum; while Obama is for turning us into a socialist state with an even more massive and wasteful Fed Gov.

Obama would make a great preacher to make people give up even more money to the collection plate. Thats all he's got going for him. He's the best puppet that the PTB could ask for. America has lost because its people have been turned into idiots and fools.

The Obama camp has reason to be nervous. Imagine: Clinton and Obama going into the Democratic national convention in Denver all tied up.

Chaos ensues as superdelegates move back and forth, deals are made, promises broken, tempers flare.

As the hours wane on, the delegate count becomes knotted at 2,024 for Clinton and 2,024 for Obama -- one short of the magic number. Oh whatever will we do?

To the sound of trumpets, one last superdelegate steps boldly forward: William Jefferson Clinton. The former president pledges his vote to Hillary, the couple embraces, history is made.

OK, so it probably won’t happen. I can’t see the state delegates leaving it up to a bunch of governors, Washington politicians and ex-presidents to determine the next Democratic nominee.

All those who want to say Obama is a phoney, muslim, 666, - OR - he was set up by the NWO and all round bad guy.

I guess that is why Labor is totally backing him up now because he is so bad? And i suppose he is being voted for by every race and every economic background. That's why he has won ten primaries in a row.

TEAMSTERS ENDORSE OBAMA
updated 18 minutes ago

Teamsters endorse Obama for president

Illinois Democrat earned two other union endorsements last week

Obama has won 10 straight Democratic contests

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, officially endorsed Sen. Barack Obama for president Wednesday.

The 1.4-million Teamsters union endorsed Sen. Barack Obama on Wednesday.

A press statement released by Teamsters president Jim Hoffa said, "Sen. Obama understands the challenges working people face every day."
"He is the candidate in the best position to lead our movement to restore the American dream for working people in this country."

"Sen. Obama will fight for better wages, real health care reform, stronger retirement security, fair trade and an end to the outsourcing of good jobs. He understands the importance of giving workers a voice at work and will fight for strong unions to help rebuild America's middle class," the statement said.

The endorsement decision follows a meeting in Austin, Texas, between Hoffa and Obama, and completes a months-long process that included scientific polling of Teamster members, surveys of local union and joint council leaders and deliberations by the union's democratically elected General Executive Board, according to the union's press release.

CNN's Wolf Blitzer will interview Hoffa about the union's endorsement at 5:30 p.m. ET.

The 1.4 million-member Teamsters union is the third labor organization to throw its support behind the senator from Illinois in less than a week.

The 1.9 million-member Service Employees International Union endorsed him Friday and the 1.3-million member United Food and Commercial Workers Union endorsed him Thursday.

Democratic Debate

Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama face each other in Texas in a live debate
8 p.m. ET Thursday

A union's endorsement can give a candidate's campaign a significant boost because union members often act as "ground troops" to canvass neighborhoods and work the phones.

Obama has been on a political roll since Super Tuesday two weeks ago. He has won 10 straight Democratic contests, including the Wisconsin primary and Hawaii caucuses on Tuesday.

The union endorsement could help Obama in his race against Sen. Hillary Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination, particularly among the lower-income voters Clinton is targeting.

Exit polls of Wisconsin voters suggest Obama won over some blue collar voters, a group that voted for Clinton in previous primaries and caucuses.

The Teamsters backing may also help Obama in Ohio, which holds primaries on March 4, and Pennsylvania, which holds its primary on April 22.

According to The Associated Press, Ohio and Pennsylvania have some of the highest levels of unionization in the country. More than 15 percent of the Pennsylvania work force and more than 14 percent of the Ohio workforce is unionized.

There is no guarantee, however, that a big union endorsement will lead to a candidate carrying a state.

Before the Nevada caucuses in January, Obama won the support of the Culinary Workers Union and the Service Employees International Union of Nevada. Clinton, however, carried the state over Obama, by 51 percent to 45 percent.

CNN's Candy Crowley contributed to this report.

[link to www.msnbc.msn.com] How Much Is The War In Iraq costing Us?

……several comprehensive studies to choose from. One of the most up-to date comes from the National Priorities Project, and Amherst-Mass.-based group that tracks the impact of federal spending on local communities. Using a “top-down” calculation based on U.S. budget appropriations, the group estimates the total money spent or allocated comes to about $255 million per day, or a little less than $1.8 billion a week. That figure includes both military and non-military spending on things like reconstruction.

Conservative estimate from Oct 2007 - planetbarb

OH! BTW OBAMA WANTS TO TAKE AWAY TAX BREAKS FROM CORPORATIONS WHO HAVE SHIPPED OUR JOBS JOBS OVERSEAS.

HE WANTS TO REWARD AMERICAN CORPORATIONS WHO DO THEIR PRODUCTION HERE AND HIRE AMERICANS!!

HE WANTS TO CREATE JOBS AND PUT MONEY INTO OUR ECONOMY!!

HE only wants to raise taxes a few percentage points on the top income people and corporations and give the middle and lower income people a break!!

He is totally backed up by Labor now.
