Any combo of substances anybody tried that let's them sleep at night and actually feel fired up during the day ? One thing I did try seems to help but only with moderate excercise and that is MCT's (medium chain triglycerides). I need to lose 60 lbs quickly but not in such a way as to hurt my metabolism. I want to fire my metabolism up so I'm burning 3000-3500 calories a day. I know about weightlifting and I'm starting that. Unfortunately I've been very depressed lately for the last 6 months. That doesn't help. try the medal bal tree syrup thing. it works if you can go without eating solid foods. they use cayanne concentrate for metabolic increases. you'll lose a pound a day and see results in a week |

I have severe fibromyalgia (at times bedridden), and was pretty much unable to do any housekeeping that required more than 15 minutes of effort before I had to sit down and rest. Because of a thread here at GLP, on ACV, I decided to give it a shot. That was a year ago. It takes awful. It has done WONDERS! I have higher energy levels than I've had in the last 15 years. I am not joking. Now, instead of 15 minutes of work and then muscle failure, I'm able to go for a solid hour of hard work (painting, cleaning, yard work, that kind of stuff) before I have to sit down. No, the FMS isn't cured, but dang, this is sooooooo much better!!! I feel HUMAN again!!! Since starting the ACV I've also lost 40lbs...but I'm not dieting beyond stopping MSG and Aspartame. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 291079But maybe that is not what you meant by "best". :-) Definately not the best. Don't know much about amps but trust me, stay away from the coke. And actually, meth is supposed to be far, far worse. So stick to exercise. |

If it is the latter, there is none better than PureImmune (naturopathic) from: [link to www.northstarnutritionals.com] Been taking a capsule a day for 2 years, and haven't had a sniffle since. Lots before. |

Redheaded Stepchild nli User ID: 364244 United States 02/20/2008 12:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | How much apple cider vinegar are you drinking? I have read that adding raw honey not only makes it taste better but also helps with weight loss and digestion. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 373668People swear by BRAGGS ACV, but I just use good old fashioned cheap apple cider vinegar. READ your labels...it has to be PURE APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, and not anything else. This is what works for me right now. I had to experiment a bit to get here. Some use more, some use less. Current individual dose... --AM: 1/4 C. ACV with 1/2 tsp. honey and 1 tsp. baking soda in 8 ounces COLD WATER. I use a straw to sip it fast. It's not so gaggy that way. --PM: 1/4 C. ACV with 1/2 tsp. honey in 8oz COLD WATER NOTE: sometimes I don't take the baking soda. Sometimes I don't take as much. The baking soda can act like a fast laxative, so monitor your intake. Um...that was the voice of experience, okay? LOL! Pre-made "tonic" that I keep in lidded mason jar in fridge... --1/4 C. honey --Fill remaining 16oz jar with ACV, but leave a small gap at top of jar. --Shake often until honey is dissolved --Store in fridge --Shake before every use. That's what works for me. I don't always add the baking soda, but I do swish baking soda after I drink the ACV so I don't damage what's left of the enamel on my teeth. LOL! If you use baking soda with the "tonic," make certain you are mixing it all in a deep glass or a small pitcher. The stuff spills over like a middle school science project otherwise. |

That doesn't help. I work out a lot and was using Thermogain as a metabolism booster, then OD'd on that stuff and ended up passed out on the floor. I replaced that with CLA from GNC, and it works great. It's not a stimulant. I also start the day with a good batch of low-glycemic carbs like oatmeal or MHP's protein drink "Up Your Mass" and eat 4 or 5 times a day- a sandwich-half on sugar free wheat bread. The constant dosing of low-glycemic carbs really fires up your metabolism. Then at night take a walk or do cardio to raise your heart rate and eat no carbs at all. I do about 20 minutes on the stair-master 4 to 5 times a week before bed. |

[link to www.vitacost.com] [link to www.vitacost.com] I've had a good experience ordering from vitacost, I dig the flat shipping rate for large orders. Maca though, I've read you have to eat a lot of it to match the benefits peruvians get from it. I'm trying to find a site that will help me grow it. People like boners. |

Running, walking, swimming, bicycle riding, take your pick. Yes. 45 minutes of cardio at approx. 80% of max hert rate will significantly boost your metabolism for bout 6-8 hours. Everyone wants a pill. Life don't work that way. Weightlifting is great and will help your body burn more calories at rest but a conditioned cardiovascular system is the absolute best fat burner. I lost 120 pounds over a three year period seven years ago now, I walk, hike, bicycle, and do minimal strength training. Lifestyle is the key. |
