Wonder about any fish that might eat mostly grass from mowing yard. Way to be self sufficient. Big tank in basement? Grass carp?

Wonder about any fish that might eat mostly grass from mowing yard. Heard of grass carp but not sure they could eat yard grass. Maybe have a big fish tank in a basement or garage. Harvest and freeze the fish when grass mowing season ends. Or freeze or dry grass to feed to fish when grass not growing.

Get a still and make methanol then dump it in your gas tank.
Or bunfle it up in shopping blastic bags after it dries to make fire logs in the winter for your fireplace.
Or mulch them to improve the grass.if your biggest issue in life is grass clippings then you have too much time on your hands.

Chicken can free range and give eggs everyday. Fish is tons of work. Cube tank tilapia but you need to grow garden w the hydro.

Make a small pond in your yard to raise them in,
add a few frogs and they can be fed that way.
Carp will eat tadpoles, also grown adult frogs could eat baby fish, so you have to figure out a balance.
But you can eat the frogs too, if you want to go there.
There are plants that grow in fresh water that you can add, the Carp will nibble on them.
After you get them established,Ponds are very low maintenance when you just let nature take its course.

Good luck !

Maybe go to nearby lakes/ponds with seaweed overgrowth. Harvest and somehow store to feed fish in basement/shed??
