There were momentous events on Sunday that, in my opinion, will affect in no small measure the further course of the special military operation. At dawn, the Russian Air Force launched powerful missile strikes against the Yavoriv test site and the Ukrainian Armed Forces training center in Starichi, located near Lviv.

It was here that the main base for training and retraining of personnel of the active enemy army was located. The entire training process was under the full control of NATO instructors. There was also quite an impressive base of storage of equipment and weapons coming from Europe and the USA. According to preliminary data, up to 180 foreign mercenaries and instructors were killed, military objects were substantially damaged, armored vehicles put out of action and ammunition destroyed.

Almost simultaneously, aviation struck a military hotel in Chernihiv, where arriving mercenaries from Western European countries were based. A very important airfield in Kramatorsk was also destroyed. The remnants of the army aviation and AFU air defense assets were based there. And to some extent they served as fuel for the tightly pressed group of enemy troops in Donbass.

SOUTHERN DIRECTION

On the administrative border of the Kherson and Dnepropetrovsk regions, there is a methodical, systematic squeezing of the enemy at the defense lines. Artillery and aviation of Russian troops are striking in the area of Bashtanka. Then the forward detachments and armored groups move forward.

Ugledar is blocked, but the advancing troops bypass it and enter the operational space. Now the way to Krivoy Rog or Odessa opens. Where the troops will move is known only in the headquarters of the operation management.

The fact that some settlements are bypassed, leaving them in a blockade is an operational tactical device, nothing more.

DONBASS

On the Zaporozhye-Donetsk line fighting continued. Especially in the area of Popasna. Here the AFU defenses were pressed through in various places. Tightly encircled, the "East" and "North" groups do not even try to counterattack. It is necessary to stop the enemy. But the forces and means are clearly insufficient, coordination and interaction, and unified management of the groups are almost completely disrupted. Commanders of different ranks often make independent decisions.

But it has not yet been possible to achieve a final breakthrough in this direction. In some areas the AFU units and National Battalions are resilient, it must be admitted.

Such a picture can also be seen in the besieged city of Mariupol. There have been fierce battles for several days. Every quarter, every street or important facilities are taken with difficulty by the Special Forces. This is understandable. Many civilians remain in the city. Despite the provided exit corridors, not everyone is able to leave Mariupol.

It is safe to assume that an active mop-up will soon end in this direction. The main task is to minimize casualties among the population.

KHARIKOV

Fighting is already taking place on the outskirts. But it is possible to gain a foothold only in some areas. Despite the encirclement of the Ukrainian grouping in Kharkiv, the National Security Forces and the AFU are still holding their ground. But they no longer conduct raids into the rear of the Russian forces.



Zmiev is practically mopped up, with firing clashes taking place in the southern part of the city. And the advance of tactical armored groups towards Barvenkovo with subsequent direction towards Slavyansk and Kramatorsk indicates that the northern direction is being tightly closed.

As well as from the south, where LNR and DNR units successively occupy populated areas, conduct mopping-up operations, and strike from the southern flank of the resulting sack. At the same time, reserves and rears are being brought up. In my opinion, the next few days will be a milestone for us.



KIEV .

Russian troops are thoroughly consolidating their hold on the lines they occupy. Given the densely populated area around Kiev, they are carefully mopping up, setting up roadblocks and combat guards. It is necessary to prevent infiltration of subversive and reconnaissance groups of the enemy and prevent attempts of a breakthrough.

Fighting in the area of Byshev continues. Baryshevka is taken in the ring. The tempo of attack is not reduced. It is about 15-20 kilometers a day.

Any military operation is divided into several stages. Judging by the operational situation along the whole front line, there comes the next stage, which seems to be the decisive one.

Donetsk is, and has been, in "russian" control for years.

The reality is, all over the country, people of *BOTH* persuasions have recounted instances where the Ukraine has gone "scorched earth" on the civilian populations.

They've cached weapons in schools, and hospital -- and then destroyed those locations on their retreat. They've shelled civilian areas in the DPR/LPR for nearly 8 years.

Are the ruskies doing the same today? yes. don't have doubt about it. unguided, "dumb" bombs == civilian targets hit. You can't use MLRS and not hit civilians.

The reality is: both sides ARE committing war crimes; neither is more evil than the other -- they can both justify it. (in their own minds).

But, we're here, not because Russia is a belligerent state... Not because Ukraine is overrun with Nazis... but because the US supported, and gave power to Nazis to overthrow an elected government, all so they could win the geo-strategic game. And in the end: we're not even committed to helping them.. any of them.
