I preferred the characters, story and music of 4 much better. 6 tries way too hard. The opera scene basically ruined that game for me, as well as all the stupid crap like the windy mountain and splitting the party just to make a boss area longer. It's a garbage game

Final Fantasy three United States version was the best of the series I have ever played. End of the story.

I feel like you're really invested... I maxed out every character and the game timer and can barely remember those names... So obviously it wasn't that bad... Not like 7 and 8 that had SEED and SOLDIER... Like they bolded them to make sure you knew it was important but damn those games sucked

Chrono is good no doubt. Top 3 for me. ff3 ff7 and chrono.

Xenogears was one of my favourites as well. Liked secret of mana as well . Breath of fire 3 good too. And of course the Suikoden series.

'Final Fantasy - Mystic Quest' was the first Final Fantasy game I ever played and it's what got me into the series. Definitely an underrated game.

Final Fantasy 8 was amazing, the story about the witches and knights. Amazing story.

Ff6 (3 here in America) is the best one of the series.

Personally think it goes 6-7-4-9-8 I stopped playing at 9. I'd put ff6 at #3 of the goat games (#2 being Chrono trigger) and (#1 being Morrowind).

The themes and stories in 6 are incredible. It's a game I replay once every few years or so. I'd say I've beat the game entirely - even unlocking little known Easter eggs like the alternate ending you get if you never save Terra in the WOR.

It's also interesting to realize the little subtleties like Shadow is Relms father. Etc etc.
