I hadn't really noticed anything until I recently quit smoking. Once my sense of smell started improving, I was disgusted by what I smelled. Yeah, also from some of the smells coming from myself, but holy shit people are disgusting. The grocery store, the gas station, everywhere. And being able to fully smell all the smells I was missing before? Good God is that the world that non-smokers live in? I couldn't take it anymore. After a week without a puff I bought a pack just so I didn't have to smell everyone's nasty body odors anymore

I could smell EVERYTHING! EVERYTHING EVER! It was horrible. The world stinks so bad. everywhere. all the people. all the time! so nasty! and it gets in your nose and you smell it all over! you can't escape it! I started smoking again in 2019. fuckit.

At first it was a nice change of pace to be able to smell my own clean clothes and clean hair and skin later in the day, but when I'd sweat from working out or just being able to smell everything again, it's too much. I don't want to smell all that all the time.

If you don't want to quit, you never will. I really wanted to this time, but I couldn't deal with a future of smelling what I was able to smell again. People smell so nasty, like body oil and poop but so much stronger than I had ever smelled in my life. And things like cleaners smell way too strong. I think I have that oversensitive sense of smell normally so if I don't smoke it's like sensory overload

Perfect health, but diet has to match.
