Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81899863 Was he drunk? He was with his dad on their way to pick up a car his dad purchased. I guess that's why they needed two drivers Tire blew and he lost control of the truck. Texas law requires motorists to be at least 14 before they can take classes to get a learner’s license.. From the article: The truck's left front tire was a spare that failed and caused the vehicle to pull hard left and cross into the opposing lane, according to the NTSB. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81899863 Was he drunk? Of course he was Why would you say that? That's a lie. Read the article! Tire blew. Veered across the road. Both vehicles caught fire. In that case an ambulance should have been called but if they are illegals they may not have wanted to do that. Quoting: The Dual Soul I just looked at the mom's Facebook page. Obviously not illegals. Last Edited by nutmeg on 03/18/2022 09:12 AM |

They have two other children at home. A girl around 10 and a little boy around 5? On Facebook, many individuals have a photo of themselves with a banner that says, "I Got My Covid-19 Vaccine." The mom of the deceased 13 year old and the father has a photo with a banner that says, "I DGAF About Your Covid-19 Vaccine." I never saw that before! lol |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81899863 The guy was probably drunk… I had to drive my dad once like that.. it was terrifying honestly. I was 14… it was on the Interstate. I'm assuming he wasn't drunk only because news articles say the dad purchased a car and they were going to pick it up. Obviously needed two drivers to drive the car and the truck back home. I never let either of my 13 year olds drive, but I understand people do, especially farmers whose kids work on the farm. I've driven out west, and some roads out there are deserted...no traffic. That's probably why they thought nothing of it and mom stayed home with their girl and little boy. Last Edited by nutmeg on 03/18/2022 09:56 AM |

Many have been killed on FM 1788 over the years. Very long stretch of nothingness on that highway. Oil field traffic mostly. Never is that road in good shape. I guarantee, the road contributed to that tire failure |

I guarantee, the road contributed to that tire failure Thank you. I was curious about the road. I envisioned it as you say, "a long stretch of nothingness." I'm from the northeast with plenty of vehicles on the roads. One day I drove, by myself, on a road out west...I think it was Arizona. Vast nothingness as far as I can see. I was the only one on a two lane road along with some tumbleweeds. |

I'm not being sarcastic. That has always been a fear of mine when driving. If my front tire blew, would I be able to control my car? |

As much as I don't want 13 year olds driving, it was not the cause of this crash. Quoting: Depluribus Unum Not really. Spares are for getting you to the tire shop. Not driving on the highway. This is negligence all the way around. Jack sprat |
