All they are doing now is posturing to save face. Look for them to begin dialing back the rhetoric over the coming days and weeks. A false flag is increasingly unlikely as only western liberal NPC's would believe them at this point.

China backed off the military assistance once it saw what was happening. A weakened Russia is a Chinese friend. China has ambitions of expansion also. Look at where the resources they need is located at. A military weakened Russia won't make a too big of a fuss when China invades with 5 million heading north.
