GeorgiaGuidestone User ID: 369114 United States 02/24/2008 12:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Nader is a closet republican, McCain has no chance of beating Obama outright so they put old boy Ralph in to steal votes. Quoting: The Good Reverend RogerI think you might be right. Something like 83 percent of Nader's votes come from Liberal Democrats. That is the reason why we had Bush as President for the past two elections. If the Democrats are too stupid to understand that they are being robbed because of the Electoral College system, then they need to change the constitution to make the President and VP offices subject to popular election. It is that simple. For eight years now, we have put up with Bush and his "make the Republicans RICH" policies, and Bush never won the popular vote." |

GeorgiaGuidestone User ID: 369114 United States 02/24/2008 12:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ralph clearly has not seen the numbers of Dem's showing up at the polls. He is, actually I am not sure what he is did anyone even vote for him in 2004? Quoting: EnlilsonRalph runs on Republican money donated through several channels. He has been instrumental in putting swing states in the Bush camp and thus guaranteeing him the election twice. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 6764 United States 02/24/2008 12:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | More options is never a bad thing. Quoting: The Good Reverend RogerI cannot fathom voting for any of the 'big 3'. If you vote for Nader, you just did. At least my vote would allow me a clear conscience at the end of the day. And really, it's none of your business for whom I vote. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 338227 United States 02/24/2008 12:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | this helps no one!!!! Quoting: Prudence 327514it helps anyone seeking a real alternative to the usual suspects I can't stand this line of thought. "Candidate A is at least not a Dem or Rep, so he'll get my vote even if I don't have a freaking clue what he represents." Ralph Nader is not a REAL ALTERNATIVE. If you go by the mentality above, why not vote for the Dem or Rep candidate because your vote is baseless either way And to those of you who blindly trumpet Ron Paul. Paul is now nothing more than a Congressman desperatetely trying to keep his seat in his own district. His story was fun while it lasted, but people need to move beyond the man. People really don't get it. You don't have a say in who runs your government. Everything is just a show and the more you try to pretend it's REAL, the less unREAListic you have become. Move on. Focus on your family and friends and career. Live your life while you can. There will be a time to take a political stand, but your options have diminished, and while the current system marches on, all you can do is watch like you do every 4 years. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 330782 United States 02/24/2008 12:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | More options is never a bad thing. Quoting: The Good Reverend RogerI cannot fathom voting for any of the 'big 3'. If you vote for Nader, you just did. Not so, a vote for Hillary is a vote for Hillary. A vote for McCain is a vote for McCain, a vote for Obama is a vote for Obama. A vote for Nader is a vote for Nader, and a vote for Bloomberg is a vote for Bloomberg. Simple truth is no one is "electable" until they are elected. And, yes, it is the Electoral College that elects the President and no one else. Figure that out. The People of each State however do elect their House Rep and their Senators, that is the public popular election and one would think people would pay vastly more attention to those candidates. We are in this mess because of Congress. |

Not his money ..... he is backed by TPTB -ROCKERFELLER I was going to ask if Karl Rove was funding his campaign, again. He may be a good consumer protection advocate, but NOTHING good ever comes out of his politically mastabatory runs for president. Ralph Nader is TPTB-whore-scum. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 312060 United States 02/24/2008 01:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ralph Nader is what everyone here would probably term a "liberal elite". A dying breed to be sure since the fascists pretty much took over the country about sixty years ago. It would do the country good to be dragged back to the left a few degrees but it ain't gonna happen. Still a better choice than the shared fascist ideology of the dems and reps.(unless you are a multi millionaire, then by all means vote for one of them, they all got your back) |

TexasT User ID: 340687 United States 02/24/2008 01:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Nader put Bush in the White House. I'll never forgive him for that. A democratic president would be much more likely to work with Nader on his issues, so why does he keep trying to prevent that? If Nader really wants to be president, why doesn't he run in the dem primaries where he might actually have a chance to win? If Nader cares so much, why doesn't he run for congress? Why do you never hear from him except when he turns up as a spoiler in the general election? He used to be a hero. Now is just an ego. |
Jos User ID: 379881 United States 02/24/2008 01:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | He needs 4000 signitures in each state to get on the ballot, most states won't let him on anyway because it's too late. He's just trying to play the spoiler again. In a close race it might matter, of course with diebold and sequoia dem votes can be syphoned off to nader giving ole "dead soul" the majority. |
