Vegan for 12 years. Perfect weight for my height, stopped getting sick, and more energy than 20 years ago. If only I wasn't malnourished, I could fit in with the average fat fuck American obsessed with stuffing their mouth with sweet, delicious meat.

I've been vegan 25 years and my bloodwork is always excellent.
I am in my 50s and healthier than most people I know.

Whole plant foods is the healthiest way to eat.
Decades of research has shown that it reduces your chances of heart disease, cancer, obesity and diabetes.

But...veganism is not a diet.
It is about animal rights.
It includes not eating animal flesh nor their secretions. But it also includes not going to zoos or marine parks, wearing their skins or furs, not supporting cruel science experiments, etc.

You can be vegan and eat junk food.
And you can be whole foods plant based (wfpb) while still wearing furs (this not vegan).

This dude doesn't know what he is talking about.

If you want to see top athletes performing at their best, with increased recovery times, due to being wfpb, watch The Gamechangers on netflix.

Apparently, vegans are seen as weak and should be constantly picked on. On the other end of the spectrum are obese meat eaters who can't stop eating McDonald's and other processed food.

I'm not currently a vegan, but when I was I stayed at a perfect weight. I never felt better in my entire life. Unfortunately, it can be difficult for me to stick with it.

A person can find a nutrient counter on line, enter the food they eat for the day and it will tell you what nutrients you're good on and which ones you are missing.

A lot of these example videos are cases of people on extreme diets. Not typical vegans who don't go off the deep end.

So people that eat Mcdonalds and other processed foods are obese because of the meat? You realize that probably less than 50% of the standard american diet is meat right? Even a burger and fries from Mcdonalds definitely contains more 'vegan food' than meat. So why do you attribute them being obese to the meat? That's very disingenuous.

People on the standard American diet are fat because they eat fast food, large amounts of bread, large amounts of sugar, and processed foods with lot's of chemicals, preservatives and fillers. Not because of meat. If you want to claim meat makes people obese, then go based on people that eat mostly animal products, not people that eat the standard American diet which is as much if not more vegan food as it is meat.

I've had the opposite experience as you. I've tried vegan diet as well as diet consisting of mostly animal products and I was far healthier on the latter.

They aren't getting all the proper nutrition for their brain on that diet so they literally become delusional and think they're healthy when they're clearly not just like many in that video. Kind of like how an anorexic still sees themselves as fat while they're withering away. It's sad.

Re: Vegans: The Epitome of Malnourishment 8
Everyone who's wondering if this is BS or not-- I can say with 100% certainty it is. Cooking meat denatures the protein to prions.
Cut out the meat and put hemp hearts on everything! Algae tablets of spirulina and chlorella, and full dandelion plants--they are the only good proteins. Eggs as well, but you have to have a relationship with the birds or I don't consider it veganism. It's about the karma.

I guarantee I can work circles around any of you meat eaters. Full sand/compost wheelbarrows going up and down hills for 8 hours a day, I have a job for you if you think you can keep up! I'm in my thirties and people ask me every day what my secret is. Most guys puke and quit their first day, and I'm over here like yeah, meat is not a good source of anything boys! It's dead, and obvious when you make the switch.

You have to eat hemp though, and cut out gluten, because that shit will stick to your gut and won't allow nutrients to absorb.

The film is not making any claim that obesity is good. The two don't have anything to with each other.

That being said, the fact is that there are vegans that take it too far and don't do it right. That can be dangerous.

There are meat eaters that take it too far and don't do it right. That can be dangerous.

One does not exclude the other.

Veganism is not just unhealthy (in the long term), its a mental illness.

That is the really scary part. And a lot of them become sugar addicts, on top of being 'holier than thou'.

Yes, it's very disingenuous to claim meat is what's making people fat when they eat breads, sugars, processed garbage and eat more plant foods than meat.

I didn't post the video or thread, bud, but regardless of the views of the youtuber that created it, he's still showing many many examples of vegans that think they are healthy but clearly aren't. Show me the same for people that eat mostly animal products.

Long-term veganism is bad because you're missing some important nutrition that is only found in animal products.

Re: Vegans: The Epitome of Malnourishment 8
I been 'vegan' for about 15 years. I do hard labor for work and spend most of my time hiking, rock climbing, etc. Periodically got my blood levels checked and have always been fine. In fact I had higher Iron and Calcium levels than most meat eaters!

Stating such, it has been very difficult to get the correct nourishment, preparing every single meal myself, eating the color spectrum, balancing fats-nutrients, carbs, protein etc. So have gone back to vegetarian to eat eggs and Grass fed ghee to make life a bit easier.

Ive never identified as a vegan because their mostly close minded morons. I do agree most of them are malnourished and do not know how to look after themselves. Always filling up on processed, high sugar, empty GMO imitations of food...

Never had a health problem since i adopted this diet. Only been sick once or twice due to extreme stress too! So yeah... its doable, but quite hard.
