It injects the spike protein, it's not an mRNA vaccine. It doesn't make your cells build the spike protein |

Couldn't sleep on that shoulder for 2 days. The pain decreased over the next few days. 5 days later, all pain is gone. I never experienced a fever. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79467831 Day of the injection, I felt tired. I didn't sleep well that, night. I had fragmented sleep, waking up every couple of hours Day 2, I was tired, low appetite, general malaise. That evening my temperature was 37.4, about 1 degree Celsius above my usual baseline temp. I slept better that night. Day 3, I felt a bit of dizziness, but my appetite improved. I was still tired, and still feeling crappy. I had these weird cramps or spasms in my left lower chest, right where the ribcage begins, that lasted about 10 seconds and occured every minute or so. This regular cramping lasted for about 24 hours. Temperature that evening was back to my normal 36.5. I slept okay, but I had night sweats. Day 4, I was feeling a lot better. No more malaise, but still a bit tired. Diziness was gone, but I started having some slight headaches that evening. Day 5. (today). When I woke I felt very tired. I just wanted to go back to bed, but I had just slept about 10 hours so I forced myself to stay awake. For the next 6 hours, I was fighting to stay awake, it felt like an episode of hypersomnia, it felt like my brain was going to shut down on me. I took an hour nap in the afternoon, and it was like I hadn't slept at all. It was a bit unsettling, I never felt this kind of intense sleepiness, it felt as if I took a strong sleeping pill. I finally took a tylenol at 3h30pm because I was starting to get pounding headaches. I started feeling more alert around supper time, and now I feel more like myself, but still a bit tired. Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 79467831 Canada 04/19/2022 12:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Canadian government doesn't allow Canadians to leave Canada without a vaccine passport, wether it's by air, land or sea. Some exceptions apply, like a religious exemption I think, but I don't know the how that religous exemption is obtained. I didn't want the mrna vaccine (for two valid reasons), that's why I waited for Novavax which is a sub-unit protein vaccine, similar to tried and tested vaccines, such as the Hepatitis B vaccine. |

BummerI've got proof of vaccination and haven't been to a doctor in 5 years or had an injection of any kind in 5 years. Taking an experimental drug to escape your country seems rather counterintuitive does it not? If I had a dollar for every time I got suspicious... I'd wonder who was paying me, and why? |
Midwest Skeptic User ID: 82248180 United States 04/19/2022 12:45 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | WOW ... if you got that kind of reaction to Novavax then the real thing would have really floored you. Be sure to get your second shot since your body definitely does NOT like the spike protein. I was in the Novavax trial and had none of your symptoms. A slight tingling at the injection site for a day, nothing else, for the first shot. For the second shot starting about 2 days later my temp dropped about 1 degree c, 2 f, for 2 days (no fever), and I did sleep a bit more for about a week but nothing outrageous. I am now in the booster trial (got my booster in Jan) and NO symptoms except a little tenderness at the injection site for 2 days. The Novavax vaccine seems to be a broader spectrum vaccine compared to the mRNA's (ie: has held up really well in protecting against all the variants so far) AND apparently is of a longer duration too (ie: doesn't wear off in just 4 months or so). I am hoping it is good for life in fact ... and it may well be since it was designed to work in the body like a traditional vaccine NOT like an mRNA. When I volunteered for the booster trial and went in they told me that NOBODY in the US in the trial who had gotten the original shot had yet to be hospitalized .... and if my experience during the original trial looking around at the others in the trial when I was getting my shots was similar to the rest of the country there were a LOT of seriously co-morbidity people in our trial. I have some friends who are still holding out waiting on Novavax ... but it STILL has NOT been approved in the US. Not sure why since every other industrialized country in the world except Russia and China have now approved it. They are beyond disappointed and still staying away from everyone because they aren't vaccinated yet. (they didn't /don't want to risk an mRNA shot) Maybe May for the US? Who knows anymore. Thanks for your report. |

As for the cramping I felt, I can't know for sure if the vaccine caused it. All the other side effects I felt are documented as normal and to be expected. I was hoping I wouldn't have any at my first shot, because I read side effects might be more intense on the second shot. |
