I can think of a few things that would be extremely helpful:
flashlights
portable two-way radios
small solar panels to recharge batteries

Even if still intact, none of the sophisticated IT devices will be operative in any manner without the rest of the greater system intact. Do you grasp what I just said here? No? An IT device can be used to view documents, play music, videos, operate useful software, all existing on the device WITHOUT ANY SYSTEM. DO. YOU. GRASP. THAT? I doubt you can operate a calculator. Playing music when TSHF .... lololll!!
