The only reason a few moments of happiness are sprinkled in are because you can't have torture without it. There has to be duality for such things to exist.. if life was 100% torture then we wouldn't see it as torture because that would just be the norm for us. But the fact that we can experience the opposite sometimes makes it torture in the first place.

It didn't start that way, it was dragged into alignment with a hell dimension. This world was made to be a focal point through which God could manifest and explore itself in the form of physical life. Because of earth's potential, it attracted a group of parasitic hyperdimensional creatures that have been working to subvert and assimilate the planet as well as all life on it. They are feeding on the light of our souls and have altered our behavior to make us into our own jailers. Misery, grief, despair, and unfulfillment create the energy they need.

This hell isn't that bad because it's (supposedly) one of the outer circles. The mildest hell.

That's a neurochemical reaction which is produced precisely because the body is experiencing "pain". Your conscious mind has been trained to disregard the unpleasant subjective sensation of cold water immersion because it now expects a "reward" signal in the form of endorphin and enkephalin which is naturally released to dull that pain. You are coaxing your brain into releasing natural opiates - which wouldn't happen unless your body perceived itself as being in a state of distress.

I don't think it is hell, but some kind of temporal karmic prison for those of us that goofed up in 4D reality. Perhaps we took it for granted. Perhaps we abused our creative powers. In any case, I think the goal is to get back there, and there is no shortcut. Perhaps some are here to help others along. It is impossible to know.
