The entire month of April was 4.1C below average. That's the entire US.

April was cold in the northern states west of Pennsylvania.

For regional average temps in April maybe 1/3rd of the country was below average.

For regional maximum temps the southern half of our country was above average for April.

Basically, late November and December brought good snowpack to the Sierra Nevada's and April was colder than normal across most northern states.

Winter's 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 were relatively mild against normal averages.

I live about 30 miles north of Tampa.

For the past 3 years, daily high averages have been below historical averages.

If there is any real global warming, it's credibility is lost in the exaggerations.

Thank you for providing a location with your comment. Appreciated.

Lot's of exaggerations here with very little if any region stated for individual reporting. Not surprised though.

Hard to find any 3-year data for the TB region.

I do see that TB has averaged 87.6 F high temp for the first 12 days of May. That's basically the average high temp for the entire month of May.

Surge of heat to bring hottest weather since last summer to Northeast

From Tennessee and the Virginia's to Ohio Valley and Maine - Coastal regions remain seasonable

High temperatures ranging from the upper 80s to the mid-90s are on the way for close to 100 million people in the Northeast this weekend as stifling heat typical of the middle of summer will be felt from Ohio to North Carolina and Maine.

In many areas, the heat and humidity this Saturday and Sunday will bring the hottest conditions since last August, and in some locations, record highs that have stood for more than 100 years could be broken, AccuWeather meteorologists say.
