I don't like dogs that much but my guess would be pit bulls

Good choice, excellent guard dogs, freaky enough to back antifa dirtballs off....my sis in law had a huge dobie,.....always freaked me out...would never bring kids around it....

German Shepherd, are known for their intense loyalty, intelligence, working breed, trainability, and if SHTF they are also intimidation and protection (even if it's a facade and they're stupidly friendly).

If you live in Canada or a cold climate, you probably want a dog that sheds, like a husky, or a shepherd husky mix. Their fur can be used to produce very very warm clothing.

No pits kill their masters too many times ...

Doesn't matter so much about the breed. Any medium to large dog that is well trained. Train your dogs!

german shepard is an excellent choice. I grew up around one. Smart, loyal and fierce!!!

Pits. I have two pits and never a problem. Look fierce and sound the same and people stay away. Very loyal to the family. I have had a Doberman and a Rottie as well.

what will you have to feed a dog, the bigger the breed the more they will eat.

maybe a hunting type dog would cover two bases, food and protection
