How can any young person starting out even begin to purchase a home these days?
 Quoting: Latherunr

We Can't not for the average working person. We will never have what previous generations had so why bother supporting their failing economy. This is why many want to make the shift to Eco Communes. Because the older generation fucked up the world and the economy so bad we couldn't save it if we wanted to.

People are converting their FRNs to
REAL ASSETS as fast as they can.

When the dollar inevitably collapses,
you don't want to be stuck with a
bank account full of digits.

Same goes for crypto.

If you feel you MUST hold onto cash,
make it "junk" silver.

One pre-1964 silver quarter will be
worth more than a suitcase of Benjamins.

If you must have Benjamins, make them
half-dollar silver Benjamins.

My son purchased a home last fall for 165k. It had a second house and a old garage that needed to come down before he could get a mortgage. We demolished them and he got his appraisal today for 220k.

Buying can be done, but you have to go for what no one else wants. And it helps to have parents that can loan you the money until it can get refinanced.

.
Yup. Everything is being sold by “sealed bid” where buyers have no idea what others are bidding.

I have a buddy whose house needs over $100,000 in updates (everything is still 1960’s), it just listed for $375,000 and sold for $435,000 in a sealed bid.

With updates, the buyer will have over a half million into a house that’s worth $250,000 in a normal market.

.
 Quoting: Zovalex

We just sold our old house to Open Door for 80k more than asking. Foundation had a crack and needed many repairs. They deposited $$ and gave us a week to move out. We drove by the other day and there was work being done on it already.

Guys please listen. The poster who said it was foreigners buying all this is completely correct. I’m on East Coast. Its all Mainland Chinese moving in, TRUST ME!!!

Also any money launderer looking to park their money. If you see White people moving in, then its because they got a fat chunk of change from whichever Asian or Eastern European buyer bought THEIR home now they have money to spend.

My next door neighbors put their 1560 sq ft house on the market less than a week ago, asking price: $450,000. They sold it yesterday for: Ready’ $572,000. Are you fucking kidding me. No it was not purchased by Blackrock or Vanguard. Shits out of control!

Exactly the same going on in UK. My house would go for cray money.
But I'd query the presumption of Blackrock/Vanguard type non-involvement.

Just like the responsible ones always have. Get a starter home within your means in a shit neighborhood, and tough it out for a while, until you've saved enough to upgrade. Snowflakes that think they deserve a good home instead of a starter home only deserve to waste their money on rent.

that is literally the stupidest fucking post in the history of the internet.

never in this countries history have younger white folks been forced to move into the ghetto to buy their first starter home.

These days, it’s predominantly black.

Your right, it was performantly white.

My Dad use to work in Hawthorn, Gulton Industries, Electrical Engineer and he also went to Compton College.

Yea... I see these prices as wagers that inflation will keep spiraling. So unless sellers can quickly multiply/convert that cash, they will have traded their house for the price of a car or something, a year from now

The block l live on has not had any homes for sale in last 10 years. Bit chilling to see what turns up next to me. They would not have sold, but needed more room to accommodate her mother after father passed away. They are shocked as well at the offers.

I been close to blowing my brains out for a while now...Swimming in debt...State I live in has gotten expensive as hell....Rent getting raised big time every year...The deppresion is terrible.

I them see all these people buying houses for ridiculous prices and I can only think of how my dream of being a homeowner has pretty much set sail.

Im pretty much done with life and will honestly say I’ll probably commit suicide within the next few years.

A lot of the money is coming from organized crime
most of the development you see is money being laundered from drug and human trafficking activities, many of the people you see driving newer vehicles and living in recently constructed homes are working for organized crime gangs!
