Desteni has given a good reason to all those frustrated wives, frustrated workers and bored illiterates to change their pathetic life. I like watching her videos. I think there is a lot of truth to what she says but I think there is some untruth's in there as well.

For me, this really is not entirely about one mentally ill youngster called Desteni but extends out to every exponent of the supernatural arts who works within the ‘psychic’ world and claims to possess paranormal powers.
The influence that ‘deeply disturbed’ characters like Desteni can have on susceptible people can not be underestimated in any way and as I- Lisbon has stated there is a particular danger to young minds that are just beginning to explore life’s possibilities, particularly those intelligent youngsters who are genuinely and innocently trying to make intellectual decisions and form perspectives on the myriad of weirdness that they will encounter in every corner of our spectacularly diverse world.

As a parent to three teenagers I believe that part of my duty as a father is to allow my children access to the eccentricities of this world but to make sure that when they investigate all ethereal subjects that might interest them (including religions) that they do so armed with a loaded barrelful of healthy scepticism and the absolute knowledge that not everything is what it appears to be.
To have allowed my daughters to have viewed these Desteni videos without follow up discussion and reasoned debate about the presumed legitimacy of the astonishing claims made would have been an opportunity lost. I would never try to control or limit the scope of my children’s worldly exploration and as we talked about this whole genre we quickly agreed that someone who cannot swiftly come to the conclusion about the absolute bogusness of all of these ‘Special’ people has probably been profoundly affected by them already.

I am not an expert in this subject (And I think it helps not to be) but I am increasingly alarmed at the lack of healthy cynicism within this genre and am genuinely perturbed at the global readiness of millions of decent people who readily accept the staggering claims of these hideous charlatans

Mr James Randi has offered a genuine challenge with his generous offer to pay $1,000,000 to anyone who can show that they possess such powers and ‘incredibly’ (or maybe not surprisingly) not one of the countless thousands of psychics, mediums, faith healers, spoon benders or channelers who continue to claim that they talk to the dead or higher celestial beings have ever stepped forward to claim the money………..Why is that?.....ask yourselves………..why?

There have been many notable instances of psychics who have fallen foul of there own lies and bullshit (Which ultimately. they all will) not least the dreadful shenanigans of the hideous Sylvia Brown.; you Americans will know a lot more about her than we English do but I know enough about her to substantiate my opinions because when these people make a direct statement professing that they are giving accurate information by way of their super powers surely they must be right and if they are not right then surely all they have done is made an educated guess using information supplied ………….and if they are proved wrong…why are they wrong???. If a doctor diagnoses you as having terminal cancer as a result of his professional opinion (which you are paying for) based on all available scientific evidence available there is a good chance that you will believe him. If his diagnosis is then proved to be wrong he/she would have some serious explaining to do and that doctor might even be struck off as incompetent.

As I’m sure you all know Sylvia Brown found the confidence within herself to tell a desperate couple that their son was dead; she graphically described the killer and went on to tell the devastated couple where the dead body of their beloved child could be found (In water between two large rocks) As you all know the boy was eventually found alive and the legitimacy of her psychic powers were finally destroyed………

Normally I don’t endorse New Age Channeler’s but in this rare case I make an exception.

A few weeks ago I got private session with Desteni, an eighteen year old South African girl and cross channeler. Being skeptical of her claims I put her threw Shady’s Skeptical Examination and got a session with Jack her Spirit Guide.
