My relatives team created mothman in a lab along with other hybrid dna splitting programs.

This story is real! Only people don't want to believe these strange things happen. People living there saw all kinds of UFO's at that time!
The mothman had nothing to do with the bridge that collapsed! That bridge was made in the 20's and wasn't made for the heavy cars of the 1960's!
Some people believe that the Mothman escaped from a UFO and aliens tried to recapture it?

The name Indrid Cold originates from the face to face encounter described by Woodrow Derenberger. This happened in Wood county, WV along I-77, around 1966-67.

Easy to find websites discussing this encounter.

The name was simply borrowed for the movie script and was never really part of the Mothman saga.

I first read about mothman when I was 10 years old. He's one of my favorites.
