Guess they need it more in the Ukraine 🇺🇦 Here are six Conundrums of socialism in the United States of America : 1. America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population is subsidized. 2. Half of the population is subsidized - yet they think they are victims. 3. They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the government. 4. Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting poorer. 5. The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about. 6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about - yet they want America to be more like those other countries. |

I called them and they said "your return was lost or destroyed". I said, destroyed?? They told me to refile. Got the refund 8 weeks later. About 18 months after the original submission. It got caught because I was applying for a mortgage and the bank sent in to get a copy and it didn't work. |

PLUS - Pushing experimental gene therapy, forcing small businesses to close, causing inflation with endless money printing and on and on and on. Break from your Stockholm syndrome and wake up. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78121322 United States 05/22/2022 10:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | An audit of the Internal Revenue Service found staffers destroyed 30 million taxpayer documents, as they faced a massive backlog. However, the tax collection agency says no taxpayers were adversely affected by the destruction. Quoting: CharlieFoxtrot The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration made three recommendations for the IRS to improve its processing of paper tax forms and promote more e-filing. However, the IRS disagreed with two of the recommendations. "This audit was initiated because the IRS’s continued inability to process backlogs of paper-filed tax returns contributed to management’s decision to destroy an estimated 30 million paper-filed information return documents in March 2021," says the TIGTA report signed by Michael E. McKenney, the deputy inspector general for audit. "The IRS uses these documents to conduct post-processing compliance matches to identify taxpayers who do not accurately report their income." The destroyed tax documents included W-2 forms and 1099 forms, according to the inspector general. [link to www.foxbusiness.com (secure)] Never received a refund. We filed by mail in taxes. Their website lists if they received it or not, and for us, it says they never received it. Last year they attempted to charge me 34,000 for taxes that I did not owe. My crypto earnings were reported wrongly by the website I used. It took me 8 months to fix that mess. They wanted me to pay not only the 34k but also late fees and other charges. Yet when they don't refund what's duly owed, we can't charge them with late fees or other fees. The IRS stinks. |

It does sometimes change from year to year. Always consult Publication 17 for all basic information. And do not get me wrong; I hate the government after working for the IRS for 15 years; but sometimes they do get a bad rap when they are not at fault. Not very often though. |

They contacted me and asked for copies of my 2020 forms, as they said they never received them! How could they have NOT received the forms, yet cashed my check WHICH WAS WRAPPED IN THE 2020 FORMS?? This shit is getting stupid. |

Dozens of folks having the same issue with the IRS cashing their checks and then saying that they never received their paper forms! Some people are still awaiting their 2020 refunds! IRS is the new Post Office. Completely broken. Shut it down. |
