God i love people that "destroy" flat earth. its super easy to "destroy" a believe when you have so many dumb asses behind you. Bill nye puts on a white jacket and you all flock to him. Neil Degrass Tyson comes out and say its not a sphere its a pear shape and you all are like "oh that's legit" Ever seen a picture of the earth with stars around it? I haven't. Ever seen a picture of the earth were it looks like a pear? Even Auguste Picard the first man to travel said it looked flat with upturned edges {It must be noted here that in later years he said he was convinced it was a globe}


What that youve seen the curve from a plane? No you haven't not according to Neil Degrass. Red bull space jump .. there was curve there ... nope even neil tells you that's a fish eye lens.

You guys honestly believe that the moon is every so perfectly in place that it would be the exact same size as the sun during an eclipse and also just the right rotation speed so you can only ever see on face? that's dumb


Ever look up mid day and see the sun and a half moon in the sky? if the shadow on that moon is caused by the earth getting in the way how the fuck is that happening?

In what may be one of the most satisfying TV moments we can recall, a group of conspiracy theorists have accidentally spent thousands of dollars to prove that yes, actually, the Earth is round.

The scene in a new Netflix documentary called Behind the Curve, which follows a group of Flat Earthers, a "small but growing contingent of people who firmly believe in a conspiracy to suppress the truth that the Earth is flat".

One of those Flat Earthers is Bob Knodel, who hosts a YouTube channel entirely dedicated to the theory and who is one of the team relying on a $20,000 laser gyroscope to prove the Earth doesn't actually rotate.

Except... It does.

"What we found is, when we turned on that gyroscope, we found that we were picking up a drift," Knodel explains. "A 15-degree per hour drift.

"Now, obviously we were taken aback by that - 'Wow, that's kind of a problem.'

"We obviously were not willing to accept that, and so we started looking for easy to disprove it was actually registering the motion of the Earth."

You know what they say: If your experiment proves you wrong, just disregard the results!

"We don't want to blow this, you know?" Knodel then says to another Flat Earther. "When you've got $20,000 in this freaking gyro.

"If we dumped what we found right now, it would be bad? It would be bad.

Simply put you are observing the bottom of the moon, not the top.

Furthermore Flat Earthers have demostrated countless times that when two ppl observe the moon from two different sides of its circuits the image you see, the bottom of the moon, inverts, just as it should if the object is local and not out in space.

If it is a sunlit Earth then you shouldn't see stars. Stars are relatively dim and need a long exposure. Use a long exposure for stars and the Earth will be overexposed.



The "pear" comment comes from there being a slight bulge at the equator. This is on the order of just a few kilometers out of thousands though. In most pics this difference is going to be one pixel at most.

Except most of the time it is NOT the exact same size. Most eclipses are annular eclipses where the Moon is smaller. As for only seeing one face, this is the same as most of the other moons in the solar system.


The shadow of the Moon is NOT caused by the Earth getting in the way. But thanks for proving that flerfs know the least about the subject.

So imagine your light fixture is the moon above you. if you stand on one side of the room and look up at it you see it from one perspective. If you walk under it, and across to opposite side of the room the light fixture face now appears upside down from your new perspective.


This same phenomenon is present when looking at the moon from different locations.
