AND ... when the US Military could NOT PROVIDE body armor for it's troops in Afghanistan, and earlier in Iraq, the families of soldiers sent there went out and bought body armor with their own money to send to their loved ones.
I guess the people who propose this legislation don't care about their own military ... since repeatedly they have NOT been willing to PAY for such items for the troops they order deployed ... and would rather the US Troops they ORDER deployed DIE versus have ANY avenue for obtaining that kind of protection when the US Military itself will NOT provide it.
What a focked up world DC is.
