Has anybody ever considered that maybe we were actually put on this planet to destroy it.

Here’s my thinking - say space travel was real and we eventually set about colonising another planet - the main danger would be the wildlife on that planet. So what if we put on there a species who breeds quickly and expands, has limited intellect so is able to make weapons and come up with attack and defence strategies. We’d clone ourselves but limit the technology. Within a couple of thousand year that planets wildlife would be destroy and so all we would need to do is move in and co-exist with the clones or wipe the clones out and begin life afresh.
