One share will cost 1/20th of what it would have, that's a more affordable(cheaper) stock price as the thread title implies. Existing, issued shares will multiply by 20. Amazon is hoping to attract more investors because most little guys don't buy $2000 stocks, but they will buy stocks in the $100's. The fact they're "hoping to attract more investors" is all you really need to know.
