Nothing can hit them The secret behind the Russian tech is that the mirvs are hypersonic glide re-entry vehicles which have the ability to alter their trajectories while re-entering. Traditional warhead interceptors use math to predict where a given warhead will be at any time due to the path of the ICBM and where it will have to release its payload. If the warheads can change their path as they fall (as opposed to dumb gravity which is perfectly predictable) they become MUCH harder to hit. Impossible even. |

Would we unload our arsenal and take the chance that they would bomb all of our cities? Could you imagine the fear and insanity? People would lose their minds over even one bomb there would be anarchy, stores empty, homes being robbed, people being shot for food and fuel. What if they hit us with several EMPs that would take us back to the 1800s a time when very few of today's city dwellers could live in and would die off quickly causing even more problems with disease. It would be Hell on Earth here for quite some time to come and it wouldn't just be the States either. |
