yeah it would be real bad for the USA.
however Russia itself will also be fully destroyed. With firepower from both East and west any missle shields will be overwhelmed. Those who cower in shelters with only "months" of supplies will have nothing to come back to other than anarchy.
nobody wins. There will be retaliation.
Russia and "the east" like to boast and display their "tech" Western countries keep it top secret.
