Think about it-you can still commit mass murder with a simple pistol. The vtech shooter used glock to kill over 30 ppl in a sport span of time before the cops rushed in.

Only %2 of homicides are caused by rifles. So why take away rifles and ammunition?

Because they know when shit will hit the fan your average joe will turn the guns against a tyrannical government.

War is won on foot-door to door building to building. Not with airplanes and drones. When a civil war breaks out they aren't going to bomb cities and neighborhoods. In a civil war you don't even know who the enemy is-so the military/police cant fire on any target they want.
