We will see. or not.. haha lets make it to 2035 first |

It's a great scam to get people to rush out and buy new cars though. Realistically there's no hope of pulling something like this off because the infrastructure doesn't exist and couldn't possibly be built in such a short amount of time. There aren't enough electric cars being made, there are stockpiles of gasoline powered vehicles numbering in the tens of thousands that would all have to be scraped, the charging infrastructure for that many electric vehicles doesn't exist, the grid could never handle the load, the power generation facilities don't exist, the facilities to build enough electric vehicles don't exist and adaption of existing facilities along with training employees would take far to long to meet such a short term goal. Add to all of that there quite literally aren't enough people who would buy an electric vehicle and the entire automotive industry would go under taking millions of jobs and the electric vehicle industry down with it. Quite probably it could take the oil and gas industry down. What's the plan? Hundreds of millions of people with no vehicles, no way to get to work, no way to afford a new vehicle? Collapse the public transportation sector too? Gimme a break. It's a bluff and it's one we've been through before lest everyone forget Obama. The politicians in the EU are all done and they know it, the EU itself is done and they know it. They'll go but until they do, they'll keep yanking everyones chain and pandering for every penny they can stuff in their pockets. |

Of course as gasoline /diesel cars become fewer and fewer finding a gas station to refuel the old style vehicles may become VERY problematic. |
