Well, everyone is paying at least double for food and fuel now...

That tends to cut into peoples 'disposable income'....

US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellin: "“I think I was wrong then about the path that inflation would take. As I mentioned, there have been unanticipated and large shocks to the economy that have boosted energy and food prices, and supply bottlenecks that have affected our economy badly that I didn’t — at the time, didn’t fully understand."

people are buying on-line - which means no more "compulsive buying" of gadgets and toys and things they don't need - plus they don't have to use gas to shop, it's delivered to the door - much safer too

Absolutely baffling.

These idiots can't bother with cause and effect? How about the people who buy random crap haven't got any disposable income any more?

I'll leave you green when my 24 hours is up. For now, you'll have to settle for stars.

About two years ago We stopped buy anything we really don't need. We have taken all extra monies and paid down debt the plan is to be debt free in less than five years.
 Quoting: Mithradates

Good idea but its a little too late.

Shit I got out of debt at the beginning of this year. I own my house with 3 acres of land, a nice sized garden and plenty of food stored up and I am scared shitless about what is coming, because I don't think it will be enough.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74496203

You need a network of like minded people, YOU will never have enough but the group you align with as a whole will.

We have 2.5 acres and everyone around us has about the same size property. All of us are preparing.

The reason I still have debt is both loans are fixed and one is 1.5% the other is 2.8% I would rather have the cash on hand then pay those off.

People are just buying bare bones essentials. No add on's...

I work in Management Retail. There is no more disposable income. Sales have dropped off. Prices are increasing, due to inflation and a recession is here. Employees are jumping ship for higher pay at other Company's. Next will be a cut in work hours with overtime only approved through management...

Transportation managers canceled orders in early 2020 predicting a recession, then found their hastiness left shelves empty and consumers furious. yeah the average person has no idea the AMOUNT of money that is being dumped into the pockets of everyone who is a traitor cow, that's who's buying the cars.

they are paying off HALF the population to kill the other half, that's exactly what is happening.

that's how america has ALWAYS worked though.

2 million foreclosures a year, why don't those people go on shooting sprees? the entire society is ganging up on them , they are afraid of satanic US prisons though, and they realize, living in this hell is worse punishment than killing them

Re: "The Demand For Random Crap Suddenly Vanished, Taking Everyone By Surprise"
To be clear, COVID fucking slayed our world economy, money from the government patched it, when that ran out people used up their savings (data shows this) then at Christmas people started to use up their credit. Now credit lines are being maxed out. Next? Collapse, people will be selling anything they have to pay bills and eat. All the credit bills will become insubstantial beyond the fall. It's going to be a shitshow.

My local water company is turning it's shut off program back on in 5 days, it's been on hold since 2020 for covid. I think most of my town is getting it's water shut off this week... PNW town, no money left...

Poor families are fucked, our government is broken and the economy is about to detonate.
 Quoting: - NEO -

'covid' slayed nothing - the governments' idiot responses did. There was never a genuine pandemic, period, end of story, just a fake crisis globalist leaders used to push an agenda worldwide.

got it?

Now you say you are in the PNW - Pacific North West. Where it rains ten months of the year. And you can't get water? You need to round up your government officials responsible at gunpoint while you do a full audit on all the books to see where the money went! Because there is a very high likelihood they are stealing it.
