That 78 Bronco is wo9rth way more to an actual man, than some 50k piece of 2021 shit.

Maybe things will get better if we elect more blacks and jews to leadership positions.

Don't forget the women ... are also traditionally fantastic in making decisions about cars, upkeep and mechanical decisions

If you don't believe me you're a transphobic omnivore!

I've known but a few who would've thought to set aside ...

68 Camaro
68 Mustang
78 Cutlass
Citroen Deux Cheveaux or DS
BMW Z3
Oldsmobile 442
anything Volvo
anything Mercedes

among a select number of other cars you can actually make money on

Anyway, good luck with all that

Went car shopping over the weekend and it was quite unsettling.

Empty lots

Waiting lists for months to get a new regular car (not EV or luxury).

Used cars almost as expensive as new models.

“Market Adjustment fees” of 3-4 thousand extra added on.

Somebody that needs a car desperately is going to be in for a surprise.

nope, not what im seeing

FULL LOTS OF NEW CARS at DEALERS, old pensioners buying new cars, no one else.

Second hand cars = again full lots, second hand cars standing there for months and months, same crap no one wants at price tag

NICE TRY OP. Not buying that. All cars from about 2004 = JUNK
new cars total junk 20 000 miles = needs new engine. No joke, no one wants those, the market is flooded with business cars who went bankrupt. and they have high millage and def no one wants those cars, they ready for the junk yard after 5 years.

There are no buyers, they dont want expensive JUNK!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78436788

Well, I personally just found a used car that I could afford, it took almost 5 weeks. Actually, have mechanics in my yard trying to get it road ready.
In my area the car situation is insane. People are asking 7-10,000 for cars, SUVs,and trucks with No motor and/or transmission. I am talking older vehicles, too late 90-early 2000"s mostly, some older. I has a 1996 Chevy impala with close to 100,000 miles for 30,000$. It literally took me 5 weeks to find something.

What is wrong with you people?

Most of us don’t car shop every month.

I do it once every 10 years or so otherwise I have no reason to pay attention.

If you went out to buy a car and got shocked, it can only be a Tesla with dodgy wiring.

My daughter and son-in-law ordered two trucks last november. The Toyota Tacoma showed up a few weeks ago in the wrong color, but they took it as they can flip it and make lots of money over retail. His truck hasn't even been built yet and won't be ready maybe until September.

............and whats up with the 1500 dollar destination charge. They are adding so many charges that the car ends up being at least 3000 dollars above MSRP. I had a buddy who was a great car salesman tell me years ago to always state that you would pay 3000 dollars under MSRP and if the dealer didnt agree just walk out the door. Well those days are gone, long gone.

I believe you.

They were offering $7000 for a beat up 2011 model I own with fading paint and dents and over 70K miles.

A year ago it was worth about $3000.

I bought a used Porsche in May last year ( very low mileage 2666 miles).
The same car , same options and more mileage ( 10 times ) is now $16,000 more.
Glad I bought when I did.

Youtube is full of videos of that mental giant Obammies cash for clunkers destroying the engines the way they did for that F'ed up experiment...so sad to watch!

Destroying an 09 Volvo engine as per SOP for cash for clunkers

\ETA...Just listen to the idiot sheep laugh about destroying a perfect Volvo by draining all the oil and running it til it is ruined.

I take personal offense to this one. Have a first series S80 with a 5 cylinder VW diesel, has 300k km and is just getting started in life

Amazing car, built to last a lifetime if people would just take care of them and realize what they're worth
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83606674

Yeah it really pisses me off to see some of the fine vehicles they have on youtube that they just drained the oil and destroyed them.

I saw one video of a sweet old Chevy truck and it just breaks your heart to see all those vehicle needlessly ruined.

There are like 100,000 cars and trucks that were completed and then parked because they were missing a few chips or something. Maybe you can buy them as is, and order the chips yourself. Seems stupid to have all those new vehicles sitting in a field somewhere.

Just bought a 2022 soul red Mazda Miata back in April for $36,000 and it gets 38 mpg. They wanted 42,000 and offer them a cash offer for 36,000 and they took it. This was the last one they had on the showroom floor.

Love you rich people complaining about car prices. I can only afford sub 4k cars. I work on them myself and old Toyotas can be found for dirt cheap. Sure high mileage but reliable as hell. Parts are plentiful and cheap. Picked up a Scion xa for 2800 and a Previa for 850. 200k and 293k respectively.

Yup.

I purchased a used Camery for $4,000, drove it for close to 300,000 miles.

I'm returning my leased car 2 years before term (4 years term) next week. They gonna pay the remaining of the lease, the deductible and give me a 5000$ check and they still gonna make a profit selling it.

That's how crazy it is. Right now I have very little use of my car and paying 400$ a month for a car I barely use is not worth it.

OP, why not buy local and from a person instead of CARMAX, etc?

That would be more logical.

You gotta wonder, if we're being lied to about so many things why wouldn't they LIE about these vehicles missing chips when in fact they might not be missing at all....?

It would be very interesting if someone went in there and had some keys and attempted to start and drive a few of this vehicles, at this point I wouldn't doubt if they were completed but since the companies are interested in money grabs they are just sitting on the inventory to make prices increase from artificial scarcity!

Ford has 1000’s of vehicles sitting in fields. Problem is that the underbodies are all rusting from the moisture coming up from the ground.

Go to a Ford dealership and look for yourself.

Most of the new Ford vehicles are connected to the cellular network. All your driving info and locations are being transmitted to a huge Ford data center.

If you are looking to buy a ford tell the dealership to disable the cellular data collection. Big brother at its finest.
