I have the tactical version of the Mini-30 and I absolutely love it.

Very little recoil. I could shoot that sucker all day long.

Sounds like you already have to many guns and are just being self indulgent.

Patriot Ordnance factory POF USA.
They make an AR15 that shoots .308 or 6.5 cm Called the Revolution.
One of the finest AR manufacturers in the world.

LMT, Geissele and Knights make fine AR’s too but nothing is like the POF Revolution.

this upper

this lower

[link to www.bearcreekarsenal.com (secure)]

you then have a .50 cal ar15 for less than $600. it kicks about like a 20 ga
shotgun. the bullets are expensive, so you might want to
reload.

A Scar 17 is pretty cool.

I don’t know what a mini 30 is??

AK’s are cool too. A lot more punch than an AR15. Ammo is relatively cheap. Get a Krinkov.

Get a larue tactical complete upper for $750. Then get any lower and drop in a larue 2 stage trigger. For a grand you have a premium rifle.

I just did this and used an Aero M4E1 stripped lower with BCM parts kit, LaRue 2 stage trigger. It's real nice and I'd put it up against any Gucci AR out there. Total price about $1,050.

Enjoy!

I like your style. I decided for quite a while between the "larue tactical" and the Daniel Defense and ended up with the latter. Both are great weapons, but I think (at the time) it was a little less $$$ going with DD.

Don't get a mini. The mags are annoying to use. I had trouble getting it to chamber a round. More expensive and harder to find. More expensive than an AR. Less accurate.

Yeah DD is amazing. The only reason I went with larue is for the barrels. They aren't rated for 30k rounds since they are stainless but their accuracy is amazing. My larue is for accuracy and my milspec stuff is for everything else.

At the end of the day everyone should be getting as many of these as they can so everyone in the house has one.

Well said! I really think it comes down to the individual shooter that is the only thing that makes a difference between weapons like the LT and the DD. With my shooting experience (which is much) I would likely not see a difference, even up to 500yds.

Well if you go with the AR10 then you have to choose what caliber. Have you seen the new offering from Faxon and Q??? 8.6 blackout

[link to www.thefirearmblog.com (secure)]

The 8.6 Blackout is a .338 caliber cartridge created with the same general concept as the .300 Blackout except for the bigger AR-10 pattern guns. It has case head dimensions and overall length identical to .308 Winchester which in conjunction with the overall shape of the cartridge allows loading unmodified AR-10 magazines to their full capacity.
