they still sell diesel where I am.

when distilling oil both gas and diesel are made. i.e. part of a barrel becomes gas, some diesel and the rest is lubricants.

so no diesel is not wiped out until 2023.

I drove local for 20 years after driving over the road for one year and I remember at one point that the mechanics came to the conclusion it was cheaper to keep the same oil in the engines and just change the oil filters in the long run this is what they did

Of course if it runs a little low you top it off but just trying to say that doesn't use a lot of oil
